Retro pack 1 is het eerste pakket dat exclusief voor Europa is uitgebracht. De set introduceert nieuwe kaarten die nooit eerder in de Europese markten zijn uitgebracht, waardoor het voor verzamelaars en nieuwe spelers gemakkelijk is om kaarten te vinden, die eerder vrijwel onmogelijk waren om te krijgen. De set is uitgebracht op 8 July 2008 en bevat in totaal 101 kaarten.
Retro Pack 1 booster pack
Bij de aanschaf moet je een toffe box kopen met daarin drie booster packs en een Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon variant. In de Booster Packs zitten negen kaarten en in totaal bevat de set dus 101 kaarten, die verdeeld zijn over de volgende zeldzaamheid:

- 10x Secret Rare
- 8x Ultra Rare
- 10x Super Rare
- 24x Rare
- 48x Common
Toffe kaarten in Retro Pack 1
De set Retro Pack 1 bevat een hele hoop toffe kaarten en wij lichten daarmee een aantal toffe kaarten uit. Zo krijg je met elke doos een Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, wat al een uniek verzamelaars item is. Daarnaast vind je weer toffe kaarten zoals Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Dark Magician, de gehele Exodia reeks, Harpie Lady kaarten en meer. Eigenlijk vind je alle kaarten die worden gebruikt in het eerste seizoen van Yu-Gi-Oh!
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is de speciale kaart die je krijgt bij een doos met drie Retro Pack 1 Booster Packs. Deze kaart is een Dragon-monster met het LIGHT attribuut dat valt onder een Fusie-monster. Je moet voor het oproepen drie Blue-Eyes White Dragon’s fuseren.

Voor de waarde van Yu-Gi-Oh! artikelen kijken wij naar Cardmarket en Ebay. Op Cardmarket wordt op het moment van schrijven de Retro Pack: Special Edition met drie booster packs en een speciale kaart aangeboden voor 3.000 Euro. Het gaat hier dan wel om de Engelse variant. Als je alleen een Engelse Booster Pack wilt van Retro Pack 1 dan kun je op Cardmarket een PSA mint 10 variant kopen voor 1200 Euro. Wat betreft de speciale kaart Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon RP01-EN000 kun je terecht voor een Mint kaart voor 35,00 Euro. Op Ebay wordt vrij weinig aangeboden rondom Retro Pack 1. Je vindt een Retro: Special Edition voor 3,999.99 Dollar.
